MainTrack is better than its low profile suggests. Component assignments are time-bounded and track rides, distance, and moving time together — a component moved between bikes accrues its own usage history from the day you fitted it, which is a cleaner model than most of this category manages. Service intervals can be set by distance, ride count, elapsed time, or calendar period; ride-count intervals like "lube the chain every four rides" are genuinely useful and rare. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Silicon Macs, and Vision Pro. It has been maintained for over seven years by a developer whose responsiveness reviewers single out. And it is free — no subscription, no bike limit, no component limit, and Strava sync is not held back for a paid tier the way some competitors do.
MainTrack does show a next-service date, and we should be precise about what it is: your own threshold — "every 1,000 km" — divided by your recent average usage. MainTrack covers Apple's ecosystem well — iPhone, iPad, Apple Silicon Macs, even Vision Pro. Outside it, there is nothing: no Android app, and no web app. The site has advertised an Android version as "coming soon" with a mailing-list waitlist since launch in 2019, and was itself last updated in early 2024.
