Retire and replace, from your phone
Full service logs arrived on mobile in the last release. This one gives them the part of the job that was still missing: taking components off the bike.
Open a service log and every component now has a Retire action. Set the condition it came off at, and the service records it. Retired parts appear in their own section on the log, so the service reads as what you did rather than what happens to be fitted right now.
From there you can fit the replacement. The new part is recorded as the one that replaced it, so your bike's history reads as a chain of parts rather than a list of unrelated additions. Changed your mind? Bring the part back in one tap and the service stops claiming it.
Retiring from the component screen now offers to start a service log instead of retiring on the spot. Same button, same place: it just makes sure the work gets written down.
A check that turned into a service
Some jobs start as a quick look and end with a chain on the bench. A maintenance check can now become a full service log, keeping the notes you have already taken and the reminders you have already cleared. Once it is a service, you can retire and replace parts on it.
It only goes one way, so it asks before switching.
