Add sensors from the app
Add a sensor yourself. Settings → Sensors has a new + button. Give the sensor a name, pick its type (virtual, electronic shifting, power meter, speed sensor, heart rate or trainer) and enter its serial number. A sensor's type is fixed once it's added.
Your names show on your rides. Battery badges on Home and on an activity show your name for a sensor instead of the name the device reports.
Heart rate and trainer sensors skip bike pairing. They're never used to match a ride to a bike, so they have no bike, profile or Strava options and don't count as sensors waiting to be paired.
