Distances Finally Have Thousand Separators
A long-standing formatting bug has been fixed. Distances like 2,366.6 km used to render as 2366.6 km with no thousand separator, making longer readings hard to scan at a glance. Every distance, elevation, temperature, and wind-speed value across the app now renders with the correct grouping for your locale.
New Locale Card in Settings
The Language & Timezone card on your personal account settings page has been replaced with a fuller Locale card. It now covers four preferences in one place:
- Language — as before.
- Timezone — as before.
- Number format — pick how you want numbers to render:
1,234.56(default, US / UK)1.234,56(DE, ES, IT, FR, PT)1234.56(no grouping separator)
- Date format — pick how you want dates to render:
DD/MM/YYYY(default)MM/DD/YYYYYYYY-MM-DD
Each option shows a live sample so you can see the effect before selecting. Your choice applies everywhere Componentry renders a number or a date — activity lists, component wear, gear pages, ride summaries, reminders, weather details.
Smart Defaults
If you've never touched these settings, we now infer a sensible default from your language: US English keeps MM/DD/YYYY and 1,234.56; European languages (DE, ES, FR, IT, PL, PT) get DD/MM/YYYY and 1.234,56. You can override either one at any time.
