Importing from Strava when you ride with a head unit
If you have a Wahoo, Garmin or Hammerhead connected, Componentry already treats your head unit as the source of truth for rides that arrive automatically. Strava publishes the same ride moments later, and only one of the two becomes an activity.
Pulling in older rides with the Strava importer worked differently. It checked whether it had seen that exact Strava ride before, and nothing else — so a ride your head unit had already delivered could arrive a second time and count twice towards the wear on your parts.
The importer now looks for it. When a ride you're importing lines up with one your head unit already recorded, it's skipped and shown as skipped in the import summary. Rides with no match import as normal, so bringing in history from before you paired your head unit works just as it did.
This works the same way for Wahoo, Garmin and Hammerhead, on the web and in the app.
