Reminders follow the part
When you retire a component in a service log and fit its replacement, the reminders you had set up now move across the moment you mark the service completed. Same schedule, same distance interval, same pause state, with the clock and the odometer reset to the day the new part went on. Rename-aware too: "Old chain: Lube/Wax chain" becomes "New chain: Lube/Wax chain".
That matters most for chains. The power-loss estimate reads your lubrication reminder to know how long it has been since the last lube. Before this change a replacement chain started with no reminder at all, so completing the old chain's lube reminder did nothing to the recoverable-watts figure. Now the new chain inherits the reminder, and ticking it off in a service log drops the estimate straight away.
A retired part with no replacement loses its reminders when the service is completed, so nothing lingers on a component that is no longer on the bike. The service log tells you this ahead of time while a retired part still carries reminders.
Existing service history has been brought in line: replacements fitted in past completed services have picked up the reminders their predecessors carried.
See what changed
Componentry ships often, and until now those changes arrived without a word. From this release, when the app updates you'll see what's in it the next time you open Componentry — the same notes published on the changelog, in a panel you can read and close. Close it and it stays closed. This entry is the first one you'll meet that way.
There is one condition, and it's deliberate: the panel only appears when notes have actually been written for that release. A release with nothing published shows you nothing at all, so you're never interrupted by an empty announcement.
Settings now carries a What's new entry too. It shows the version you're running and opens the notes for it whenever you want them, whether or not you've already read them — useful when you half-remember a change and want to check what it actually said. From there, one link takes you to the full changelog, every release back to the beginning.
The Componentry app does the same thing, with the notes written for that release rather than the web ones — the two update on their own schedules, so each shows you its own.

- Replacement parts fitted from the web service log now receive their preset reminders, matching the mobile app.
- Completing a lubrication reminder that is attached to a component but not a bike now refreshes that bike's predictions as well.
